We are seeking expert instructors and assistants to provide education integrating environmental awareness and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) for children as part of our Ecosystem Education Project, launched in July 2024 and planned to open in June 2025.

The E-STEM curriculum developed within the project aims to enhance children's problem-solving skills for real-world issues by combining environmental and STEM disciplines. The training sessions will take place at the IDEA Universal Association building, located in Yeldeğirmeni, Kadıköy. In March, trainers will undergo a 5-day training program in which all modules will be conducted in English, covering both theoretical and practical lessons.

 

Areas of Expertise for Instructors

Each instructor will be responsible for the following modules based on their area of expertise:

  • Environment and Soil

  • Environment and Waste Management

  • Environment and Air

  • Environment and Water

  • Ecosystem and Biodiversity

  • Environment and Renewable Energy

  •  

Responsibilities of Assistants

  • Supporting instructors during training sessions.

  • Maintaining classroom organization.

  • Preparing materials and coordinating student participation.

  • Guiding field trips and hands-on activities.

 

Training and Working Conditions

  • Instructors and assistants will work half-days on weekdays at the E-STEM Center.

  • The training program consists of six modules, each comprising 6-hour sessions.

  • The following facilities will be used during the training:

 

Indoor Spaces: Two training labs and one seminar room.

Outdoor Spaces: Gardens, aquaponic systems, composting areas, renewable energy systems, and rainwater harvesting zones.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Experience in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, or Science Education.

  • Graduates or students from faculties of education.

  • Holding a teaching certificate or pedagogical training.
